At the beginning there was the idea of developing a chair that meets the needs of sophisticated communication areas with a puristic, aesthetic design. The valorizes the space and thereby withdrawn and remains simple.
The challenge is to achieve high seating comfort and functionality with simple shapes. That's millimeter work. All parameters have to be right, from back height to seat tilt, without disturbing the straight lines.

The conference and club chair series ARTISO^® has been awarded the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2017 and the German Design Award: Office Furniture 2019.

The Hessian seating furniture manufacturer KÖHL was once again victorious in two of the largest and most prestigious design competitions in the world. A jury of experts consisting of independent designers, design professors and specialist journalists decided on the awards. Overall, the competitions recorded more than 10,000 submissions from 54 nations. The chair series ARTISO^® has been awarded for its outstanding design and product quality.

Managing Director Thomas Köhl said: "The awards confirm our daily work. Creative design pursues a clear goal for us: brand profile and functionality in perfect synthesis, implemented in high-quality manufacturing quality. This is a claim that has brought us international recognition. "

The name ARTISO^® means something like "craftsmanship", so that the character of the high-quality armchair series is perfectly met.

Because ARTISO^® combines sophisticated, timeless aesthetics with a maximum of ergonomic seating comfort. Four frame variants, four different body heights and high-quality cover materials such as leather, felt and woolen fabrics offer a multitude of individual design options.
