KÖHL expands management

Ingolf Matthée and Peter Wilhelmus will form the management duo in future /
Managing director Thomas Köhl takes over the chairmanship of the advisory board

Rödermark - The seating furniture manufacturer KÖHL will expand its management.
"In order to be able to proactively use the current opportunities of the changing market environment as well as digitization, we want to position ourselves more broadly in the future",
explains managing director Thomas Köhl. Ingolf Matthée and Peter Wilhelmus are appointed to the management. Thomas Köhl himself is now withdrawing from the operative business and takes over the chairmanship of the advisory board of KÖHL GmbH.

Ingolf Matthée will take over his role on February 1st and will take care of the expansion of the national and international sales network in the future. In addition, he will continue to drive strategic digitization at KÖHL in cooperation with the sales partners. In doing so, it should open up additional growth opportunities for the company.

"With Mr. Matthée we were able to win a very experienced and competent sales professional", says Thomas Köhl happily. The graduate industrial engineer is also very experienced in international sales and has expanded sales in America for the manufacturer of luxury bathroom fittings Dornbracht over the past ten years. Ingolf Matthée himself is looking forward to his new role. "KÖHL is an excellently managed family company with a clear focus and excellent growth opportunities," he emphasizes. "Above all, I appreciate the familiar working atmosphere at KÖHL and the opportunity to further expand the excellent market position with short decision-making paths and flat hierarchies." His goal is to further develop the KÖHL brand, the product portfolio and the company as a whole.

Together with Ingolf Matthée, Peter Wilhelmus will complete the management duo. Peter Wilhelmus has a degree in business administration and has been commercial director at KÖHL for four and a half years. He will also be appointed to the management team on February 1st and will therefore be at the forefront in the future for the company's commercial fortunes.

With the assumption of the chairmanship of the advisory board from February 1st, Thomas Köhl will concentrate more on the strategic direction of the company. "Of course, it is primarily about opening up new fields of innovation," he emphasizes. He will also pay more attention to sustainability potential and future topics in the future.
